Excess sludge generated in the process of biological wastewater treatment in the Bio Easy Flow biological treatment plant is pumped out to the sludge composter using a sludge pump located in the biological treatment plant and controlled by a specially adapted controller. Every few years, the processed and hygienized sludge is removed and used to fertilize plants.
Advantages of using an automatic sludge composter:
- elimination of the need to remove sludge from the sewage treatment plant, thanks to its management within the plot
- the possibility of installing the treatment plant in a place where there is no access road
- reducing operating costs thanks to the lack of the need to transport sludge
- making maintenance and operation of the treatment plant easier
- possibility of obtaining valuable compost for plants
- the device is invisible to users due to underground installation
